Question of fit of varispeed pulley on motor of 2J head

Apr 05, 2018 · I needed a new stationary pulley for the motor on a 2J11/2 head because I broke the last one pulling it off (yeah, dumb I know). Anyway the new one came and I expected it to be a press fit, but the pulley just slipped on the shaft easy. In fact I could wiggle it ever so slightly once it was on the

At what speed should my saw blades spin? Jon Eakes

At what speed should my saw blades spin? Tools Vary. If it is a direct drive motor, the arbor RPM and the blade RMP are the same, which is true of routers and many, but not all woodworking saws. Some table saws are direct drive or have equal sized pulleys. This is important if you want to know the "rim speed" or "linear tooth" speed

Using Pulleys with Electric Motors process.arts

Removing Pulleys from a motor shaft Once you have determined how a pulley is fitted to the motor and you are sure you have unscrewed any grub screws etc, the easiest way to remove it is with a gear puller. The pulley is 'jacked' off of the motor shaft by turning the central bolt of the gear puller using a spanner.

LinuxCNC G0704 conversion: Spindle Motor

The smaller pulley goes on the spindle and the larger pulley on the motor. The smaller 24 tooth pulley is the perfect size for the G0704.

I got a treadmill motor, what to do with it? [Archive

That makes about 1110 RPMs at a 3" diameter roller, which if that has a 9 1/2" dia. pulley on it, the motor needs a 1 1/2" dia. pulley. There could also be an extra stage of reduction in there. If it still has the PWM controller with it, it would make a wonderful lathe, mill, drill press, etc. motor.

Dec 12, 2009 · I also cant really add anything to the direct drive discussion because I went the belt and pulley route. One of the things I like best about belt and pulley where the belt is tensioned by the weight of the motor (1/2 HP Craftsman I had laying around) is that if the mill were to bind for any reason, the worst that happens is the belt gets chewed/burned up a little.

DirectDrive vs BeltDrive Pressure Washer Pumps Hotsy

A "Belt Drive" pump has a pulley mounted to its solid shaft and is driven by one or more belts that are attached to a pulley on the motor or engine. The pulley system allows these pumps to turn at a much lower RPM than a direct drive pump (typically 9001400 RPM). The belt drive pump crankcase has a larger oil capacity.
